April Challenge

For the April 2008 launch at Mill Springs, we'll have not one, but two contest events!

Mini-Roc

The rules are simple; whoever can get the most launches and recoveries in a single launch day from a single mini-roc model wins.
  • Everyone who wants to enter builds a mini-roc from the following list:
  • Each flight is recorded and at the end of the event, the rocket with the most flights and recoveries without damage wins.
  • A flight must reach at least 50 feet in stable flight in order to qualify.
  • Minimum motor for contest flight is a ½A.
  • There is no maximum motor impulse for this event.
  • Any type of recovery (except lawn dart) is acceptable for Mini-roc's.
  • Prior to pad assignment, all Mini-rocs will receive a thorough safety inspection. Non-conforming rockets shall be disqualified.
