Greg Opening:  The meeting was called to order by 
President Greg Burke at approximately 3:10pm. 
The main topic for this meeting was discussion of the NSL 99 bid.

Greg NSL 99 Report:  President Burke gave the group information he 
had as of meeting time:

Official Launch Motel:  Holiday Inn (Perry)
HPR Equipment:  Provided by TARA
Motor Limit for field:  “K”
Meeting Room: TBD
Waiver: 10,000ft.

He also reported that we would be setting up the Range on Friday 
and this would be available for a “member launch” for those of us there. 
Greg also mentioned that we would have “Staff” Tee shirts made up 
prior to the NSL.

NSL 99 Committees:  Greg gave the group a layout of our committee 
structure for NSL.  They are as follows:

Webmaster - Doyle Tatum
“Forms” - Jim Skeen / Brad Van Duser
Financial - Harry Holmes
Waiver / FAA - Dale Windsor
Transportation / Travel & Accommodations - Greg Burke

Greg SOM-4 Discussion:  Greg stated SoAR would be conducting 
(in conjunction with TARA) the September SOM-4 meet. 
This would serve as a “dress rehearsal” for NSL 99. 
There are to be five (5) events:

1/2A Streamer Duration (SD)
B Parachute Duration (PD)
A Boost Glide (BG)
E Super-Roc Duration (SRD)
E Dual Egg Loft Duration (DELD)

Launch Rules:  Greg reiterated that we should adhere to 
standard club launch rules when hosting the SOM-4 meet 
as well as all launches.

Flight Fees at Perry:  Greg mentioned that TARA would 
begin charging everybody a $5.00 flight fee unless you do 
a “range duty” shift (PM / LCO / Setup-Takedown).

Building Techniques:  After the meeting, Doyle gave a 
presentation on adding nose weight to those models that 
need a little extra for insured stability. He also showed a 
method that could be used to repair a zippered rocket.

RMS Motors:  After the nose weight presentation, Greg and 
Dale gave a short presentation on the different types and 
sizes of Re-Loadable Motors.
