Greg Opening: The meeting was called to order by President Greg Burke at approximately 1:10pm. The main topics for this meeting was an update of NSL 99 proceedings and the election of club officers for 1999. N/A
Greg NSL 99 Report: President Burke gave an update:

Due to the loss of the Perry Sod Farm location, NSL ‘99 will
now be held in Huntsville, Alabama. This will be done in conjunction with HARA, the Huntsville NAR Section.

Field is slightly smaller than in Perry, Mick Wilkins Memorial Meet to still be held in conjunction with NSL

Possible "official" motel would be the Holiday Inn, Space Center

Sponsors include (to date) Aerospace Specialty Products, Rocket Science, Magnum Rockets, Apogee Components, and possibly Starflight Industries

On-site food vendor could be the Bobo Fire Department (vendor for 1998 Rocket City Blastoff event)

Greg Postponement of Launches: A general discussion was held on canceled launches. It was stated by President Burke that the Cartersville field is to be used only as the following:

a) Club activity launch use,
b) Special use launch

In any event, the field must only be used when club officers are present for our insurance to be in effect.

Doyle Doyle proposed we use his computer phone line with answering machine for launch updates. Phone number is (770) 664-6250. It was also noted that this answering machine can be updated from the field in the event of a "late" cancellation. Accepted
Doyle Venus Probe plans: Doyle made available several copies of the Estes Venus Probe modification plans printed in a recent issue of Sport Rocketry. N/A
