Newsletter Situation:
Due to the workload of Newsletter Editor Brad Van Duser, it was decided the club needed to look for another member to fill this position.

Launch Dates / Rainouts:
It was brought up that the club may want to move up the April launch to April 2nd due to the possible insurance problem.  Dan made a motion to leave this decision with the Board.  The motion was seconded by Steve and passed.  Along with this discussion, it was proposed to have a “hard date” for rainouts.  This would be 2 weeks after the original launch date.

Macintosh Reserve Park:
Public Relations Officer Terry Bliss reported on possibly holding launches at Macintosh Reserve in Carroll County.  The field there offers a very long and somewhat narrow recovery corridor along the Chattahoochee River.  Doyle proposed that we might have an “impromptu” launch there sometime.

SoAR Store:
Discussion was held regarding opening a “SoAR Store” to sell Caps, T-shirts, etc.  Mike Deluca offered to operate the “store”.  It was also discussed we might hold a contest for the Logo and offer a $50 certificate to the store for the winning entry.  See above section on “Club Logo”.

Discussion was held on creating an “achievement program” for members.  This would be something like NARTREK with different levels (i.e. Setup, PM, LCO, RSO, etc) that would result in an award.  Coined the name “SAPTREK” for “SoAR Achievement Program”.

Launch Guidelines:
Dan presented his plan on having a “launch director” for each of the launches in order to share range duties.  The launch director would be responsible for recruiting volunteers to do the duties needed for launches.  Also mentioned was the possibility of having a “flyers meeting” during the lunch time period and creating a “duty roster” on the web.

Mick Meet 2000 Status:
