How did you get into rocketry? As a young lad I followed Mercury, Gemini and Apollo plus I read comic books. I saw an ad for a real flying rockets in an issue of the Fantastic Four, or was it Daredevil. Got my Dad to mail in the money and received two tumble recovery rockets, motors and launch rod. I was hooked.
Why did you join SoAR? I like to be involved with groups that encompass the whole range our hobby has to offer. The members of SoAR are interested in flying scale, micros, gliders, oddrocs, midpower, high power, old, new. It doesn't matter, someone is doing it and having a blast.
Anything else? A few years ago I started a new rocket-related company - LawnDart Rocketry - to sell kits and other items.
Where do you shop for rockets? I really like to get things in the mail, so I order stuff from a lot of web-based, mail-order places.
What is your next step in Rocketry? Currently redoing a high power, two-stage scale model. Also have a few LawnDart Rocketry kits in prototype stage, Hoping to release them this Spring.
Who do you admire in Rocketry?
